Although the Butterflies & Aliens Library exists primarily as a virtual space, we want to acknowledge that we are nonetheless grounded in the land upon which we reside and connected through it, land that is the traditional and contemporary territory of many First Nations including the Nehiyaw (Cree), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Denesuliné (Dene), Tsuutʼina, Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), Inuit, and Métis nations, land that is located within Treaty 6 and Treaty 7 Territory and the Battle River and North Saskatchewan River Territories of the Métis Nations of Alberta.
