The Papers of the Bibliographic Society of Canada

PLO 5: Professional Communication

Students will be prepared to flexibly articulate and adapt their education and ongoing contributions to different environments in line with principles, norms, and practices governing professional communication in the field.

During my time as a student, I had the opportunity to serve as the volunteer Layout Editor for the Papers of the Bibliographical Society of Canada / Cahiers de la Société bibliographique du Canada.

In terms of PLO 5: Professional Communication, this experiential artifact provided insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of a key form of professional communication, academic publishing.

This not only included valuable experience in the operations of an open access journal but also practical experience in using OJS, or Open Journal Systems, as a software platform for academic publishing, a screenshot of which is included above as my artifact.
