Book of the Week: Where Do You Poop? by Agnese Baruzzi

Welcome to our inaugural Book of the Week post! The Head Alien and I agreed that it would be fun to do a regular feature to showcase books we think you all should know about and give some extra love to books where needed. Every Monday we will share a new Book of the Week and you can expect an eclectic mix of new titles and backlist, and absolutely no bestsellers that you probably already know about.

Since this is going to be a weekly feature at the Butterflies & Aliens Library, I thought we could kick things off by featuring something funny because life is too short not to laugh, and we all poop!

I discovered this book at Owl’s Nest Books quite a while ago on the recommendation of one of my coworkers. It checks all my boxes, both as a parent (though my kids are adults now) and as an appreciator of quirky children’s books.

Where Do You Poop? is a hilarious board book with rhyming text and pull tabs that show the animal poop. What made me laugh the loudest is that the shape of each poop is actually accurate in real life for each of the animals portrayed. There are 8 spreads, all with pull tabs.

This book is a great twist on conventional potty training books and would make a pretty wild and unique baby shower gift in my opinion.

This one is worth checking out and I hope it makes you laugh too.

Happy Reading!
