Book Lovers Day 2021
Now, really, every day is Book Lovers Day at the Butterflies & Aliens Library of Literary Eccentricities & Rareties, but since the all-knowing interwebs say this is a with-capital-letters Day day… albeit with an origin story lost to the mists of time… we did feel we had to post a little something to our Bookish Calendar.

Given our fascination with books, not surprisingly the Butterflies & Aliens stacks include a growing collection of books about books and things books adjacent… bookstores, booksellers, libraries, print culture, book design, reading, book collecting, to name but a few.
For our inaugural Book Lovers Day, we’d like to share just two small shelfies of some of our books about books.

But in the meantime, we here at the Butterflies & Aliens Library are going to be taking some of our vacation time to read some of these books for ourselves!
