Small Press Saturday: Dundurn Press
Happy Long Weekend and Happy Small Press Saturday!
Because it is a long weekend, I am keeping the text in this post to a minimum, but am happy to introduce you to Dundurn Press.
Dundurn Press, named after Hamilton’s Dundurn Castle, was founded in 1972 by Kirk Howard. The Dundurn Press of today, guided by Scott Fraser, President and Publisher, and Kathryn Lane, Associate Publisher, focuses on “Canadian authors telling Canadian stories.”
Together they publish a diverse variety of fiction and nonfiction, including history, memoir, lifestyle, literary, mystery, and middle-grade and teen fiction. Their books have won and been nominated for numerous awards including LAMBDA Literary Awards, Toronto Book Award, and Forest of Reading Awards.
Recently, they have rebranded with an updated logo and are launching their new literary imprint called Rare Machines this fall. I will be interested to see how Dundurn Press continues to grow and move forward.
I hope you will check out their website and maybe your next read will be found on their pages.
Happy Long Weekend and Happy Reading!
